Rare Side Effects and Complications

Cialis – Who should not take it?

In exceptional cases, Cialis can impede the blood supply to the optic nerve of the eye, leading to a sudden loss of vision. The possibility of this side effect is higher in patients with diabetes, hypertension, pre-existing eye conditions, heart disease, or high cholesterol.

Individuals with the below mentioned conditions should avoid taking Cialis unless a doctor agrees:

• high or low blood pressure
• heart rhythm issues, angina, or any type of heart condition
• structural deformity of the penis, such as Peyronie’s disease
• liver or kidney disease
• retinitis pigmentosa
• congestive heart failure or stroke within the past six months, or myocardial infarction within the past three months

• stomach ulcer
