Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) | American Integrative Pharmacy

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) | Lomita Compounding Pharmacy | Long BeachLow dose naltrexone (LDN) is a promising treatment for millions of patients suffering from nervous system disorders, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Researchers also suggest that it is an easy to administer therapy for HIV/AIDS, which is free of side effects.

American Integrative Pharmacy (AIP), a pre-eminent compounding pharmacy led by Dr. Neema Yazdanpanah, provides LDN and other safe and effective health solutions to patients in Long Beach, Torrance, Los Angeles, South Bay, Orange County, Southern California areas, and nationwide.

History of LDN

In 1984, the FDA gave its approval for naltrexone in a 50 mg dose to help opium or heroin addicts by blocking the effects of these drugs. The next year a New York physician Dr. Bernard Bihari discovered the effectiveness of a very small dose of naltrexone on the body’s immune system.

The small dose helped patients afflicted with HIV/AIDS. By mid-1990s, Dr. Bihari found patients suffering from cancer could also benefit from LDN, and those who had an autoimmune disease showed prompt control of disease activity following LDN treatment.

How does it work?

LDN fortifies the immune system, and contributes to the activation of body’s intrinsic defenses. A growing number of research studies over the last two decades have indicated that an individual’s own endorphin secretions or the internal opioids play a vital role in the beneficial management of the immune system.

Patients suffering from autoimmune diseases and cancer, in general, partially or largely experience a trigger of the disease due to a deficiency of endorphins. In some cases, such as HIV/AIDS, the disease is accelerated by the endorphins deficiency.

LDN restores the body’s normal production of endorphins, which is its key therapeutic action that can help to address autoimmune diseases and cancers. An integrative pharmacy may be able to offer LDN based treatments and offer innovative and advanced compounding pharmacy solutions for such conditions that may not be successfully treated with conventional medicine.

Efficacy of LDN

The efficacy of LDN has been shown in thousands of patients over the years.

Cancer

By 2004, Dr. Bihari had treated more than 300 patients suffering from cancer who had not responded to standard treatments. From that group, about half the patients began to show a halt in cancer growth in about four to six months. More than a third showed signs of tumor shrinkage.

Autoimmune Diseases

Among patients suffering from autoimmune diseases in the group tracked by Dr. Bihari, every single one responded successfully to LDN treatment, and all of them experienced a halt in progression of the disease. Many patients even showed a significant remission in the symptoms. Less than one percent of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis experienced a new attack of MS while they maintained their regular LDN treatment.

HIV/AIDS

Dr. Bihari was treating 350 patients of HIV/AIDS using LDN along with established therapies. More than 85 percent of these patients showed no detectable levels of the HIV virus over a period of seven years, and suffered no significant side effects.

AIP offers both traditional and modern compounding pharmacy treatments, including online prescription refills, to patients in Long Beach, Torrance, Los Angeles, South Bay, Orange County, Southern California areas, and all over the country across the fruited plain.
